What is Surf Camp?

Living Salty Surf Camp is a weekend of surfing on God's grace while remembering our baptism! Youth in grades 6-12 will learn to surf while experiencing Christ through games, Bible study, crafts, fellowship, and worship. Friday night includes some gathering games and introduction to surfing. All day Saturday is spent on the beach riding waves or just hanging out in the sand followed by a surf-themed Bible study that night. We end the weekend with a worship service on the beach on Sunday morning.

Who are the Leaders?

Pastor Will Rose from Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Columbia and Pastor Kevin Powers from St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in Chapin were college roommates and grew up surfing in Wilmington, NC and up and down the east coast. Both Pastor Kevin and Pastor Will still find time to catch waves and have a passion in teaching others how to surf
